In this concert, Yorkshire Airs and a Cuckoo in Spring, pianist David Hammond continues his exploration of composers with a Yorkshire connection. The programme includes music by the remarkably talented Richard Stoker, William Baines’ Goodnight to Flamboro’, Sadie Harrison’s tribute to Baines, 3 Portraits of William Baines from Shadows plus Frederick Delius’ On hearing the first cuckoo in Spring.

The Beethoven Project: Ian Pace continues his exploration of Beethoven’s nine symphonies (transcribed by Franz Liszt) with his iconic Pastoral Symphony No.6. The concert will include Michael Finnissy’s English Country Tunes (1-3), Beethoven: Six Goethe-Lieder (transcribed by Franz Liszt) and a new work by Steve Crowther.
